Kimono: the beauty of good old Japan
Kimono has its roots in Japan's culture since the Heian period, and numerous masterpieces have been created as a crystallization of the skills and aesthetic sense of artisans.
However, kimonos, which were once everyday wear in Japan, have become Japanese clothing, a special attire worn on special occasions in modern times.
In many households, kimonos are stored deep inside the chest of drawers, and kimonos that have been treasured by our parents and their parents' generation never see the light of day.
When kimonos are not cared for, the fabric becomes damaged by moisture and insects, and is lost without anyone knowing.

Thoughts woven by hand
The frame-like card body is made of Echizen washi paper embossed with auspicious patterns, allowing you to enjoy the texture of high-quality handmade kimonos just like a painting, or give it as a gift to a special person.
Genuine kimonos from the Meiji to Showa periods are unraveled by hand, folded back into rolls of cloth, and then hand-sewn together to create greeting cards. Only auspicious patterns such as cranes, turtles, and plum blossoms are carefully selected from all over the country, so you can choose a pattern that matches the feelings of the gift recipient.

The cards and envelopes, which are framed in washi paper and decorated with auspicious patterns, are made with particular attention to the materials and processing used, and the delicate and intricate embossing of the auspicious patterns on the card itself was achieved by Echizen Washi, a company with a long history of 1,500 years that has continued to produce strong, resilient washi paper and paper used for banknotes, certificates, etc. The cards with edged edges give the impression of the warmth of human hands.
The included envelope is made of handmade Izumo Mingei paper, a style inherited from the late Living National Treasure Abe Eishiro. The paper is surprisingly soft to the touch and comes in four colors: scarlet, yellow, light green, and forget-me-not. The combination of historic fabric and the craftsmanship of modern artisans from all over Japan allows you to fully enjoy the tradition in luxury.
To make it easier for people overseas to purchase, explanations about the auspicious patterns included are provided in both Japanese and English.

Auspicious patterns filled with wishes
Is it possible to preserve kimonos as a part of everyday life, something that is always with people?
What can be passed down to future generations is not the physical form but the feelings of people.
People's thoughts are passed down to our consciousness and lifestyles. One thing I noticed was the auspicious patterns on kimonos.
Each pattern is imbued with wishes and feelings for the wearer, such as longevity and health. Wishing for happiness is an emotion shared by everyone around the world.
